emily graduated from gray's school of art in textiles and surface design in 2009 and has since worked in london and como. emily creates beautiful hand-finished silk scarves taking inspiration from 1920s vintage imagery including fairground and circus themes, and creates her designs using original hand-drawn illustrations and contemporary techniques to produce a very charming and playful collection that celebrates colour and innovation. emily sees the silk scarf as an item of sophisticated luxury and beauty, evocative of the era of grace kelly and audrey hepburn and reminiscent of her grandmother's scarf collection including jean patou, hermes and valentino. we have featured eight of emily's designs, each one rich in colour combining fairground imagery with spots and flowers and emily's latest collection called fedjag, which shows emily's passion for eye-popping colour and unique illustrations of birds and insects. we are sure you will love emily's designs as much as we do, she is definitely one to watch!
