Getting into the Christmas Spirit

Wow what a busy month it's been, a few events under our belts and a lot more product arriving including the Christmas scarf collection from Becksondergaard and four designs by fab new brand (for us at least!) Lola Rose.    It would be remiss of us not to mention also that one of our Becksondergaard scarves was seen out in Chelsea last week around the very elegant neck of Kate Moss.

The main focus of the last few weeks but this week in particular has been the preparation for the Spirit of Christmas Fair which starts next week on Tuesday 30th in the main hall at Olympia, London for 6 days, can it really be 6 days??   This will be our second year at Spirit and with a better location and the lessons learnt from last year we are full of enthusiasm that this will be a good show for us.   Much consideration has gone into planning the layout of the stand from the wallpaper  - who can resist Andrew Martin's weatherboard-effect backdrop - to the decoration.  It was definitely very kind of Cox and Cox to open up a wholesale division to coincide with our requirement for 4 of their scarf (ok towel!) ladders and 4 sets of wall hooks, very kind indeed!   Even what goes on the walls has to be carefully planned, so this year, it being Christmas and all, we will have a couple of unusual mannequins proudly displaying our scarves, in the shape of reindeer heads from Eliza Wray.  Finally, and we're not going to reveal our source here, but it arrived at 5.25pm this evening and is the one item we have been waiting on for over a month, it is a papier mache female bust, deliberately aged to give that vintage look.

We are starting to get slightly concerned that we might actually be looking forward to dressing the stand more than the prospect of standing there selling scarves for 6 days.  Oh dear!
